Bon Appetit, Your Majesty tells the story of Yeon Ji-Young (Lim Yoon-A), a bright and determined French chef. After winning a top cooking competition in Paris, she mysteriously time-travels to the Joseon dynasty.

There she meets King Lee Heon (Lee Chae-Min), a cruel tyrant who surprisingly has an extraordinary sense of taste. Once he tries her cooking, he demands she serve only him inside the palace.

Ji-Young, who once dreamed of working in a Michelin 3-star restaurant, must now prepare royal fusion cuisine for a dangerous ruler. Meanwhile, Concubine Kang Mok-Ju (Kang Han-Na) secretly schemes for power, and Prince Jesan (Choi Gwi-Hwa) rises as a strong rival to the throne.
